The Tower of the Western Port

At Kiyikislacik, once the sun had dipped low enough in the sky for the air to cool slightly, we took our opportunity for a small adventure… We beached the dinghy along with our friends from s/v Mimpi, and scrambled through the shallow waters along the sunken breakwater to the ruins of a Byzantine watchtower.

It was a Crusoe escapade where the little kids revelled in being king and queen of the castle, and the big kids enjoyed the sunset views of our floating homes!
